Needle Drop Problems
with Christmas Trees
A real Christmas Tree is a living thing, and needs special attention.
Just follow a these simple steps and it should keep it's colour and shape
(and needles!) through the whole Christmas period.
- Before use, store the tree in cool natural conditions away from high
wind or direct sunlight.
- Try and water or keep moist to prevent dehydration.
- Make a 1/4 inch cut at the base of the trunk before putting the Christmas
tree into a water stand. This helps the tree take up moisture, and to
last longer. Keep the water stande topped up.
- Avoid disturbing the Christmas tree once it's in place.
- Don't put your Christmas Tree too close to a fire or a radiator -
this will dry out the tree and is the most common cause of needle-drop.
