FAQs - Christmas Trees
Wholesalers
Here's a page answering all the most frequently questions we hear from
customers:
What species of Christmas trees do you supply?
The simple answer to this is any. In reality the main trees we supply
are Nordman fir, Norway spruce, Noble fir, Lodge pole and Frazer fir most
of which are available as cut, rootballed, re-potted, pot grown and blocked.
As we have global purchasing power, any breed of tree can be sourced and
supplied.
When can I have my trees delivered?
As we wholesale Christmas trees in large quantities we normally arrange
to supply all garden centres before the first weekend in December to allow
them to be priced and displayed before the retailing begins.
I want 1000 trees how long will it take for us to unload a wagon?
The days of loading and unloading by hand are long behind us. We stipulate
and insist that whenever possible the trees are pre-loaded onto pallets
which are easily moved around with a fork lift truck, so what used to
take about 3 hours now takes about 20 minutes.
What is the difference between potgrown and potted?
Our potgrown trees are transferred as a seedling into a 10 litre pot,
the pot is then placed in the ground where it remains until it is harvested.
It's then removed from the ground still in its original pot and delivered
with the pot wrapped in a protective cover. A potted tree is a naturally
grown tree that is dug up with the majority of its roots intact and is
then compacted into a 10 litre pot with a protective covering, then delivered.
Why do you supply the Christmas trees in nets?
For many reasons the christmas trees are netted when harvested the main
one's being to protect the foliage from damage and to compact the trees
for easier loading onto the pallets.
